The Summerville Shaggers Shag Club consists of people who enjoy getting together and celebrating our state dance “The Shag”! We have an open dance and lessons every Monday, at Summerville Country Club, 400 Country Club Blvd. in Summerville. Lee and Deb Hoff teach basic steps at 7:00 pm and advance at 7:30 pm. Sharon, our in-house DJ plays beach music until 10:00 pm for open dance. This is a great time to practice. This is always nonsmoking and free, open to the public.
Jr. Shaggers, (6-18 years old) are welcome to come to Summerville Country Club for instructions at 6:00 until 7:00 pm. Free sodas and snacks for Juniors.
Quarterly meetings are held in order for our club to meet and discuss upcoming events and dances.
